About the Maker

Hi

I’m Bec, the maker behind ISSYMAE.

I am not just a handmade business owner, I am also a wife, mother, and grandmother, and with all these rolls my life is full and very busy. I have always been drawn to crafting. Its away for me to slow down and do something just for me, but it is also my love language.

I’ve always loved creating handmade items through knitting, crocheting, sewing, cross stitch, scrapbooking… it’s been my happy place for as long as I can remember. What started as making gifts for family and friends slowly grew into something more.

My second love is travelling, weather on I am plane or cruise on the sea, but most for all travelling Australia in my caravan. Exploring somewhere new while crafting along the way with my family is the perfect place to be, for me anyway.

Creating hair accessories for women who want easy, wearable pieces that fit into real life whether you’re heading out the door, dealing with a bad hair day, or just wanting to feel a little more put together without the effort, is what I do best.

Everything I make is designed to be practical, comfortable, easy to use and wear and is also something you’ll reach for again and again.
